Let's build a community garden together in Salerno
Volunteers in Salerno are raising $2,300 for a community garden at Maple Park.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,300.
It will serve about 115 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $130
• Permits and inspections: $100
• Materials: $2,070
