Raphaël was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in November. The oncology team at Paris University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in January. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Raphaël is 38, worked as a bank teller until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Paris University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $9,350 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,250 • Scans and lab work: $1,400 • Transport to Paris University Hospital: $700 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
