Monterrey
Emilio is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at the Monterrey Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $700. The registrar has said Emilio can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Emilio has a first-class average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Emilio would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Emilio isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Monterrey Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $700 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $540 • Textbooks and materials: $110 • Exam and lab fees: $50 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
