I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a nursing degree at Entebbe State College, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $650.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Entebbe State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $650 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $230
• Final term tuition: $350
• Exam and lab fees: $40
• Textbooks and materials: $30

Take care. I hope things turn around soon. Sent it to 15 people at work.
Hope you get there. Thinking of Entebbe.
