A playground for the old Acacia bus depot: help our neighbors in Sacramento
A community-led a playground at the old Acacia bus depot that will serve 148 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Acacia bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,950.
It will serve about 148 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,950 goes:
• Materials: $3,100
• Permits and inspections: $280
• Safety equipment and signage: $360
• Tools hire and delivery: $210

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. materials is the biggest at $3,100. Happy to explain more.
