I'm caring for my father, who's 79. After a stroke last May Mukasa can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Mukasa desperately wants to stay at home. I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Mukasa worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $850 goes: • Part-time carer (six months): $570 • Medication and prescriptions: $120 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $55 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $105 Thank you so much. - Amani
