Muhammad was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in September. The oncology team at Surakarta University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Muhammad is 58, worked as a bus conductor until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Surakarta University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $650 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $220 • Transport to Surakarta University Hospital: $110 • Scans and lab work: $165 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $155 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
