Moving day volunteers: Shailesh's family relocating in Pune
Shailesh has found a safe new apartment in Pune and needs help moving heavy furniture on Thursday.

After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Pune, and the lease starts on Thursday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about five hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Pune.

Praying for you, Shailesh. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Colombo.
