Zapopan
Manuel lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Zapopan General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $950. His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment Manuel could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $950 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $740 • Fitting and training sessions: $65 • Delivery and set-up: $40 • First-year servicing plan: $105 Thank you for reading my story. - Luis
