I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 10 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $100 goes: • Towing and inspection: $20 • transmission replacement (parts): $65 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $15 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Yasir

Updates from Yasir

  1. Update from Lahore: I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. We're at 30% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 70% funded and I made the first payment toward transmission replacement.

  • Hang in there. Hope the shop reopens soon. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you

    • Good luck, Yasir. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
