Irma wants to stay at home - help fund four months of care
Irma, 78, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $850 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 78. After a heart attack Irma can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Irma desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Irma worked all of her life as a bus driver, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.

• Medication and prescriptions: $50
• Part-time carer (four months): $720
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $80

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Irma.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. medication and prescriptions comes first ($50) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
