Nao lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Tokyo Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,750.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Nao could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.

• Delivery and set-up: $95
• powered wheelchair: $5,500
• Fitting and training sessions: $155
