Yard rescue for Musyoka, 86: fallen trees and overgrown beds
Musyoka, 86, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 86 and I have lived in this house in Likoni for 39 years. After the storm in September, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending strength, Musyoka. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Hope the doctors have good news. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings
Thinking of you and your family, Musyoka. Looking forward to the next update. God bless
Sending good thoughts, Musyoka. Hope you get there. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Likoni
Thanks for sharing this, Musyoka. I hope things turn around soon. My husband and I read this together.
