Get Sundar back on the road: my food truck repair fund
Sundar drives for a living in Kolkata, and a broken suspension has stopped all income for 12 weeks.
🇮🇳 India808 views
I make my living with my food truck. 12 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $255. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 4 children. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $255 goes:
• suspension replacement (parts): $180
• Labor charges: $25
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $45
• Towing and inspection: $5
Thank you for reading my story.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Sundar
Sure. The biggest one is suspension replacement (parts), $180. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks, that means a lot.
Hope things get better soon, Sundar. Hope this works out for you. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless!
Rooting for you, Sundar. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope October is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Kolkata.
Sending good thoughts, Sundar. This could happen to any of us. All the best
Take care, Sundar. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope October is when things finally get easier.
