Meltem wants to stay at home - help fund six months of care
Meltem, 79, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,000 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 79. After a fall and hip fracture Meltem can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Meltem desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Meltem worked all of her life as a farmer, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $700
• Medication and prescriptions: $200
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $100

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Meltem.
