Mei's stomach cancer treatment fund
Mei is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Mei was diagnosed with stomach cancer in January. The oncology team at Tokyo Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Mei is 43, worked as a shop owner until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Tokyo Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,350 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $1,000
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $520
• Household costs while unable to work: $850
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,980
