A weekly ride to the Nashik Dialysis Unit for Manasi

A rota of drivers to the Nashik Dialysis Unit would keep Manasi on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Manasi has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Nashik Dialysis Unit alone. After a minor stroke, Manasi can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 23 km each way. Manasi is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

      • Sending strength. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
