37 volunteers for the Free Community Meal in Ottawa
Our small team in Ottawa is running the Free Community Meal and needs volunteers for set-up, serving and clean-up.
🇨🇦 Ottawa, Ontario, Canada251 views
Every year the Free Community Meal brings together 184 neighbors in Ottawa. I help organize it with 10 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for registration, sorting donations and carrying boxes. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
