Lydia wants to stay at home - help fund eight months of care
Lydia, 94, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $5,750 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 94. After a diagnosis of dementia Lydia can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Lydia desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Lydia worked all of her life as a nurse, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $5,750 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $4,500
• Medication and prescriptions: $640
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $380
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $230
