Feed 379 families each week at the Sunday Shelf in Los Angeles
Aiden runs a volunteer pantry feeding 379 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Saturday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 12 families, and now we feed 379 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 56% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Los Angeles market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $300
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $2,000
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $950
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
