Let's build a youth football pitch together in Fresno
Volunteers in Fresno are raising $3,100 for a youth football pitch at the Union health centre yard.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $3,100.
It will serve about 126 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,100 goes:
• Materials: $2,400
• Permits and inspections: $185
• Safety equipment and signage: $155
• Tools hire and delivery: $360
