For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 295 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $450 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $145 • Permits and inspections: $105 • Tools hire and delivery: $200 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

  2. We're at 13% thanks to 3 of you. the plan for permits and inspections is now scheduled. More news soon.

  3. Thank you all. We're at 42% now ($190). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward permits and inspections.
