For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 235 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $250 goes: • Materials: $170 • Permits and inspections: $35 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 Thank you for reading my story.

  • Hope it all works out, Vinod. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier

    • sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.

      • Keep going, Vinod. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. All the best

        • Praying for you. Hope you get there. Thinking of Rohini.

More neighborhoods should do this. Greetings from Daegu.
