Let's build a repair café workshop together in St. Petersburg
A community-led a repair café workshop at the Maple vacant lot that will serve 497 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,700.
It will serve about 497 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,700 goes:
• Materials: $2,050
• Tools hire and delivery: $400
• Safety equipment and signage: $250
Thanks for being kind about this.

Stay strong. More neighborhoods should do this. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of St. Petersburg.
