Keep a roof over Shantel's head in Kingston
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Shantel needs $850 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Kingston.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $850.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $850 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $570
• Late fees and court costs: $60
• Utilities in arrears: $35
• First month of rent as a buffer: $185
Every share and every dollar helps.

Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Badagry donated after I showed her your page.
hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Please keep us posted.
Thanks for sharing this. Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to San Diego so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Epe.
