Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Savar
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at Maple Park that will serve 234 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $160, and the remaining cost is $200.
It will serve about 234 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $200 goes:
• Materials: $105
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

stay strong. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Good luck, Sabbir. More neighborhoods should do this
praying for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. It's not much but it's yours.
