Save Ziggy: Ximena can't afford the emergency vet
Ziggy, Ximena's rabbit, needs urgent treatment for a ruptured cruciate ligament costing $3,850.

Ziggy is my rabbit of nine years. On 3 August we rushed to Ann Arbor Veterinary Centre with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $3,850.
They have stabilized Ziggy, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Ziggy is more than a pet - Ziggy is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $360 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Ann Arbor Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $3,850 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $2,400
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $780
• Medication and follow-up visits: $380
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $290
