Neighbors in Old Town village are rebuilding after the house fire that spread across the block; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The house fire that spread across the block hit Old Town village on 8 June. My home was one of 88 damaged, and 5 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $7,150 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,800
• Clean water and purification supplies: $560
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $900
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,300
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,590
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Wishing you the best. I hope things turn around soon. Wish I lived closer to Seoul so I could bring a meal.
