House fire that spread across the block in Niterói: help the Marketplace district rebuild
The house fire that spread across the block damaged 70 homes in the Marketplace district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The house fire that spread across the block hit the Marketplace district on 12 November. My home was one of 70 damaged, and 12 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $240
• Food parcels for displaced families: $410
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $400
Every share and every dollar helps.

Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Niterói.
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about tools and labor for repairs, advice is welcome too. It helps to be asked.
So sorry you're going through this, André. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. God bless.
