Keerthana was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August. The oncology team at Lucknow Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Keerthana is 38, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Lucknow Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,450 goes: • Scans and lab work: $290 • Transport to Lucknow Regional Medical Center: $85 • Household costs while unable to work: $330 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $745 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
