The water account is 3 months behind. Heike received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless $700 is paid. She had never been late before my partner leaving the household. Heike called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $120 first, which isn't available. The household includes a newborn, and going through winter without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. Heike is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Heike's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
