Help Brian pay for valve repair surgery at Kinondoni Regional Medical Center
After a large ovarian cyst, Brian was cleared for valve repair surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Brian was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in April. The surgeon at Kinondoni Regional Medical Center recommended valve repair surgery, and He is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,000, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $500 short.
my son has been in and out of Kinondoni Regional Medical Center since April. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Brian struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Brian won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $500 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $55
• Post-operative medication: $25
• Travel and lodging for the family: $55
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $365
Glad we found this place.
