Keep the electricity on at Jéssica's home in Fortaleza
Jéssica is behind on electricity bills after an unexpected car repair and needs $200 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless I pay $200. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $45 first, which I don't have.
I live with three children under ten, and going through the cold months without electricity isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Jéssica's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $200 goes:
• Gas arrears: $95
• Reconnection and late fees: $20
• Down payment on a payment plan: $85
Thank you so much.

wishing you the best. Looking forward to the next update. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Fortaleza.
Thinking of you, Jéssica. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Fayetteville
A colleague of mine might know someone for this in Ceará. I'll ask around and let you know!
