Ginger is my German shepherd of two years. On 16 August we rushed to Los Angeles Animal Hospital with severe tick fever. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $1,600. They have stabilized Ginger, but the treatment can't wait beyond October. Ginger is more than a pet - Ginger is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $130 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Los Angeles Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
