Care for Lucas, 95: help cover a carer and medication in Duque de Caxias
Help Lucas stay in his own home with six months of part-time care.

I'm caring for my father, who's 95. After a fall and hip fracture Lucas can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Lucas desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Lucas worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $1,350
• Medication and prescriptions: $145
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $105
