Keep a roof over Kevin's head in San Fernando
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Kevin needs $700 to clear the arrears and stay housed in San Fernando.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 6 weeks, Kevin fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a notice to vacate was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $700.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by April, the family must leave.
There are three school-aged children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Kevin has started working night deliveries, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $700 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $450
• Late fees and court costs: $25
• Utilities in arrears: $30
• First month of rent as a buffer: $195

Take care. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We're a small family in Aswan but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Aswan.
