After burnout at work, Joaquim has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred him to family counseling, but the public waiting list is 9 months, and private sessions at the Niterói Counselling Collective cost $25 each.
Joaquim has been honest with his employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Joaquim could afford. The therapist recommends 12 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
