Paloma was diagnosed with colon cancer in April. The oncology team at Arlington Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Paloma is 37, worked as a farmer until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Arlington Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $9,900 goes: • Scans and lab work: $1,050 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,250 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,600 Every share and every dollar helps.
