Tsion's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Help Tsion begin Grade 9 with a laptop, uniform and books.
🇪🇹 Ethiopia2,009 views
I earned a place in Grade 9 at Addis Ababa Technical College, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the design and technology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $100, which is more than we have.
I love design and technology and want to become a teacher. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $100 goes:
• Laptop: $45
• School uniform and shoes: $15
• Textbooks and workbooks: $30
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $10
Thank you so much.

Updates from Tsion
Small update. $95 so far, I made the first payment toward school uniform and shoes.
Thank you all. We're at 30% now ($30). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the school supplier and confirmed the amounts.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Tsion.
Rooting for you, Tsion. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. My neighbor in Toronto donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Addis Ababa.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Tsion?
Thank you. If you're in Addis Ababa I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great.
Hope things get better soon, Tsion. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Wishing you the best, Tsion. Study hard! Take care.
Good luck, Tsion. Shared it with a few friends. Thinking of Addis Ababa.
Hang in there, Tsion. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn.
