In July I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. My oncology team at the Moscow Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 6 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 47, I worked as a bakery worker until July, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Moscow Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,650
• Scans and lab work: $230
• Transport to the Moscow Oncology Institute: $140
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $300
• Household costs while unable to work: $630

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Inna.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. chemotherapy and medication not covered is the biggest at $1,650.
