Fighting thyroid cancer: help Vikas afford treatment in Saket
Vikas is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Vikas was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in July. The oncology team at Saket Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Vikas is 48, worked as a tailor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Saket Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $120
• Transport to Saket Cancer Centre: $60
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $105
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,315
