Hyderabad flood relief - the families of Orchard Lane
After the flood, families in the families of Orchard Lane need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The flood hit the families of Orchard Lane on 23 January. My home was one of 87 damaged, and 3 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $950 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $470
• Clean water and purification supplies: $80
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $75
• Food parcels for displaced families: $145
• Tools and labor for repairs: $180
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

So sorry you're going through this, Shoaib. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Hyderabad.
Looking forward to the next update. After 20 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Wishing you peace, Shoaib. Hope you get there. Sent it to 20 people at work.
