Lorenzo is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a nursing degree at the Iztapalapa Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,800. The registrar has said Lorenzo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Lorenzo has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Lorenzo would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Lorenzo isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Iztapalapa Institute of Technology bursar's office.
