Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Lapu-Lapu
Volunteers in Lapu-Lapu are raising $500 for a solar-powered water pump at the Freedom vacant lot.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 309 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $340
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
