Henry is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Baton Rouge Community College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,450.
The registrar has said Henry can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Henry has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Henry would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Henry isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Baton Rouge Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $4,450 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,550
• Final term tuition: $2,500
• Exam and lab fees: $110
• Textbooks and materials: $290
Thank you so much.

Best of luck, Kennedy. Your post was clear and honest
Sending love. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Baton Rouge.
