Help Ximena keep the the Sunday Shelf pantry stocked
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Boston is running low just as demand rises; $1,800 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Tuesday from the back of a community center. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 384 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 60% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Boston market and keep every receipt.
Each $55 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $270
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,300
• Refrigeration and electricity: $230
