Pedro, my uncle, passed away on 29 July after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 56 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $400 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 3 August.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Pedro to have a dignified farewell.

Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
