Waleed is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a nursing degree at the 6th of October City Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,000.
The registrar has said Waleed can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Waleed has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Waleed would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Waleed isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the 6th of October City Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $520
• Final term tuition: $370
• Exam and lab fees: $30
• Textbooks and materials: $80
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hang in there, Ghassan. Your post was clear and honest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Best of luck, Ghassan. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn.
