Help Phương through 4 rounds of treatment for multiple myeloma
Phương is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
Anywhere in the world1,139 views
Phương was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in July. The oncology team at Hồ Chí Minh City Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Phương is 25, worked as a primary school teacher until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Hồ Chí Minh City Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $630
• Scans and lab work: $240
• Transport to Hồ Chí Minh City Cancer Centre: $105
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $100
• Household costs while unable to work: $325
Thank you so much.

Sending good thoughts, Thu. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
Hope the doctors have good news. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Varanasi.
