Help me finish an agriculture degree at Giza Community College - $1,000 to go

Hadi has worked and saved for five years to study an agriculture degree; a $1,000 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Giza
I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an agriculture degree at Giza Community College, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,000. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a first-class average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Giza Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,000 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $410 • Final term tuition: $480 • Exam and lab fees: $50 • Textbooks and materials: $60 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Hadi

Updates from Hadi

  1. Quick update: $290 raised so far (29%). I met with the university and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. 27% there. I made the first payment toward textbooks and materials. Thank you.

  3. Thank you all. We're at 11% now ($110). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the university and confirmed the amounts.
